Ep 11. Gentle Giant

Rick was a known drug dealer in the area, and detectives immediately suspected foul play. They began to surveil him and his associates, hoping to gather more information on James' whereabouts. Eventually, detectives were able to obtain a search warrant for Rick's property and discovered what appeared to be human remains buried in a shallow grave.

The remains were later identified as James Beyer, confirming everyone's worst fears. Rick and his associates were arrested and charged with James' murder. In court, the prosecution presented evidence that Rick had lured James to his property, promising to sell him drugs, but instead, he and his associates beat James to death and buried his body.

The trial was emotional and heartbreaking for James' friends and family, but ultimately justice was served, and Rick and his associates were found guilty of James' murder. The town of West Lafayette mourned the loss of James Beyer, but also found solace in the fact that the community had come together to find the truth and seek justice for their gentle giant.

The episode ends with a tribute to James and a reminder that no matter how big or small a community may be, it's important to always look out for one another and speak up when something doesn't seem right.
