In season 2 episode 13 of Sex And The City entitled "Games People Play," the girls are all playing games - both in their personal and professional lives. Carrie is excited about a potential new job opportunity writing a weekly column for a magazine, but things get complicated when she finds that her editor has also hired her rock-star ex-boyfriend to write a competing column. Miranda is also having work issues, as she struggles to handle her sexist boss and decides to play a game of her own to get ahead. Meanwhile, Charlotte is playing a game in her love life, as she tries to win back her ex-husband by pretending to be happy without him.
Samantha, always one for games, becomes increasingly annoyed with her new beau, who seems to only want to play with her in the bedroom. The pressure mounts as she feels like she's losing power in the relationship, and ultimately must decide whether or not she's willing to continue playing.
As the girls navigate their various games, they come to realize that these games might not be bringing them the satisfaction they had hoped for. They question whether or not their tactics are worth the emotional turmoil that often comes with them.Ultimately, they are forced to decide if they want to keep playing or if it's time to move on.
