Fiona has been struggling to keep her business afloat, and with bills piling up, she is forced to consider selling the laundromat to her tenant, who happens to be a wealthy man looking to expand his business.

Meanwhile, Ian continues to struggle with his bipolar disorder and gets into a heated argument with Lip over his treatment. Carl, unable to secure a job, decides to join a group of protesters who are occupying an abandoned building in an effort to raise awareness about the lack of affordable housing in their community.
