Ep 1. Are You There Shim? It's Me, Ian

In the season 9 premiere of Shameless, titled "Are You There Shim? It's Me, Ian," the Gallagher clan is once again faced with a myriad of problems and obstacles as they navigate their way through life in the South Side of Chicago.

For Ian, things are particularly difficult as he finds himself in jail after violating his probation. His relationship with Trevor is strained as he struggles to accept the fact that their lives are on very different paths. Meanwhile, Fiona is dealing with the aftermath of her failed investment in the laundromat and is forced to come up with a new plan to keep the family afloat.

Debbie is still adjusting to life as a single mom, while Lip struggles with his own demons and tries to find his place in the world. Carl, on the other hand, is focused on his new career as a security guard and is determined to make a name for himself.

As always, Frank is the wild card of the family, getting into trouble and causing chaos wherever he goes. This time, he decides to try his hand at being a motivational speaker, much to the amusement of his family and those around him.

Through all of the ups and downs, the Gallaghers continue to stick together and support one another, no matter what life throws their way. Will Ian be able to overcome his legal issues and find happiness with Trevor? Can Fiona bounce back from her financial setback and keep the family afloat?
