Dr Johan Joubert is determined to capture a group of hippo. Hippo are extremely alert and Dr Johan and the wildlife department invents a system to capture the hippo in a strong capture camp without any human presence close-by. The capture camp has a trap door which close when the hippo steps on a metal plate. After much planning and effort they manage to catch a family group of hippo.
