Ep 11. E 11

In SHIROBAKO season 1 episode 11, titled "E 11," the Musashino Animation team continues to work tirelessly on their anime project "Third Aerial Girls Squad." Production Assistant Aoi Miyamori meets with the head of the company, Kinoshita, who tells her that the show is already behind schedule. Aoi tries to calm his concerns by sharing the progress they've made so far.

Meanwhile, the director, Seiichi Kinoshita, is struggling with the script for the next episode. He asks his former mentor, Hashimoto, for help, but he is unable to provide much assistance. Chief Animation Director Ema Yasuhara and Art Director Yumi Iguchi are also facing difficulties in their respective departments.

Ema is tasked with animating a difficult scene involving planes and has to come up with a creative solution to make it work. Yumi, on the other hand, is working on designing the interior of a high-end hotel room. She struggles to create a look that matches the director's vision, but eventually finds inspiration in a magazine.

Later on, the head writer for the anime, Maitake, visits the studio to discuss the script for the next episode. Seiichi isn't happy with the changes she has made, but Aoi defends Maitake's choices. As the team discusses the script, they realize that they need new voice actors for two characters. Aoi reaches out to a famous voice actress who is known for her tough demeanor, but the actress doesn't seem interested in the project.

Meanwhile, Shizuka Sakaki, one of Aoi's old classmates, is having trouble finding work as a voice actress. She decides to go on a trip to clear her mind, but ends up getting lost in the mountains. Aoi and her friends set out to find Shizuka and bring her back to Tokyo.

In the end, the team manages to solve the various problems they encounter, and the episode ends with the sound of the voice actress Aoi contacted, enthusiastically agreeing to work on the anime project. Episode 11 features plenty of drama, but ultimately ends on a hopeful note as the team works together to overcome their challenges.
