Ep 5. Facial Recognition

Richard and the Pied Piper team face a new challenge in episode 5 of Silicon Valley's fifth season, titled "Facial Recognition." The episode opens with the company dealing with the fallout from the previous episode's disastrous launch party for PiperNet.

As they try to salvage what's left of their reputation, the team is approached by a group of activists who want their help in taking down a facial recognition program that they say is being used to unfairly target marginalized communities.

At the same time, Hooli's Gavin Belson is dealing with his own facial recognition woes, as his latest product launch is overshadowed by a glitch in the software that causes it to mistake a black man for a gorilla.
