As Jack gets deeper into the investigation, he discovers that Jennifer's disappearance might be connected to a drug dealer who is also connected to Jennifer's boyfriend. Jack's investigation leads him to the drug dealer's house where he finds drugs and cash. However, he is unable to locate the boyfriend or Jennifer.

The episode ends with Jack receiving a call from the kidnapper who has Jennifer captive. The kidnapper demands a ransom and threatens to kill Jennifer if Jack involves the police.
