Ep 9. Life's Too Short

Nate is on edge about his health as he considers getting an MRI, while the rest of the Fisher family tries to stay busy in the midst of their troubles. Ruth and Claire go to a quilting event where they get caught up in an impromptu protest against the Iraq war. Meanwhile, David continues to struggle with his PTSD and takes a chance on risky behavior to feel alive. Keith is dealing with fallout from his own dangerous actions while on duty. The theme of mortality runs strong throughout this episode as the characters grapple with their own fears and uncertainties. Ultimately, they are reminded that life is too short to waste the time they have left.
