Kaz and Torra receive a distress signal from one of Torra's friends on a nearby planet and they head out to investigate. When they reach the planet, they find that the friend, Kel, is being held captive by a group of dangerous miners. The miners have been using Kel's skills as a mechanic to repair the mining equipment and they refuse to let him go.
While Kaz and Torra are brainstorming ways to rescue Kel, they stumble upon a strange creature that appears to be in trouble. The creature, which they nickname "Bibo," is small and helpless and seems to have lost its mother. Kaz and Torra decide to take Bibo with them on their mission to rescue Kel, but they quickly realize that caring for Bibo is more difficult than they anticipated.
As Kaz and Torra work to free Kel from the miners, Bibo causes all sorts of chaos. He gets into everything, eats everything in sight, and generally causes mayhem wherever he goes. Kaz and Torra are forced to juggle their mission to rescue Kel with their responsibilities to care for Bibo, and it's no easy task.
Meanwhile, the miners prove to be a formidable adversary. They are armed and dangerous, and seem determined to hold onto Kel and his skills at any cost. Kaz and Torra are forced to come up with a plan to defeat the miners and free Kel, without putting themselves or Bibo in harm's way.
As the episode progresses, Kaz and Torra grow increasingly attached to Bibo. Despite the chaos he causes, they realize that they cannot leave him behind on the planet. They must find a way to take care of him and keep him safe, even as they continue on their mission to rescue Kel.
In the end, Kaz and Torra are able to successfully rescue Kel and defeat the miners. They return to the Colossus with Bibo in tow, determined to find a way to care for the strange creature and keep him safe. As they settle into their new roles as caregivers for Bibo, they realize that they have formed a bond that will last a lifetime. Bibo may have been a handful, but he was worth it.
