Ep 4. The High Tower

The High Tower is the fourth episode of the first season of Star Wars Resistance. The episode is set on the planet of Colossus, which is a fueling station for starships. The Colossus is ruled by the First Order, a military dictatorship which seeks control over the entire galaxy.

In this episode, the audience is introduced to a new character, a mechanic named Tam Ryvora, who is a friend of the protagonist Kazuda Xiono. Kazuda, also known as Kaz, is sent by Commander Poe Dameron on a secret mission to investigate the First Order. Kaz's mission is to track down a Resistance spy who has infiltrated the First Order's base on the Colossus.

Meanwhile, a power outage affects the tower where the wealthy residents of Colossus live. Tam's boss, the wealthy Armitage Hux, orders her to repair it. To do so, Tam needs a special part which is only available from Aunt Z, the owner of a bar in the lower levels of Colossus. Tam's boss tasks her with getting the part, which proves to be difficult and dangerous as the lower levels of Colossus are plagued by pirates.

As Kaz sneaks into the First Order's base to search for the Resistance spy, he comes across a young girl named Torra Doza, who he soon discovers is the daughter of the wealthy Doza family and the captain of the Colossus racing team. Despite being initially aloof and dismissive of Kaz, Torra eventually lets him into her luxurious penthouse apartment in the High Tower to help fix her hologram projector.

While working on the projector, Kaz runs into Tam, who is there to deliver the part she retrieved from Aunt Z's. Kaz is surprised to see Tam working for the First Order, and their conversation is cut short by the appearance of stormtroopers looking for the Resistance spy.

As the stormtroopers search the apartment, Kaz and Tam are forced to hide in a crawl space. In the cramped space, they bond over their shared dreams of flying and their disenchantment with the First Order's oppressive rule over the galaxy. As they wait for the stormtroopers to leave, they discover that the source of the power outage is the First Order's secret research and development center, which was responsible for the power surge that caused the blackout.

Kaz and Tam return to the lower levels of Colossus to report their findings to Commander Poe Dameron, who is waiting for them in disguise as a bar patron. Together with Aunt Z and the pirate leader Kragan Gorr, they come up with a plan to expose the First Order's research center and get the residents of the High Tower the power they need.

The High Tower is an action-packed episode that introduces the audience to the luxurious upper levels of the Colossus and the ruthless and authoritarian First Order that rules over it. The episode also explores the budding friendship between Kaz and Tam, who are both caught between their dreams of flight and the harsh realities of life on the Colossus. Overall, The High Tower is a thrilling and entertaining installment in the Star Wars Resistance series that will leave fans hungry for more.
