Along the way, Steven learns a lot about himself and seeks to put his new knowledge to good use while his dad is around.

In the end, Steven decides to take a break from being a caregiver and goes outside to play his ukulele, something he normally does when he needs to clear his head. As he plays, he comes to realize that he can't do everything by himself and that he needs to reach out to the other Gems for help and support. From then on, Steven begins to take things easy and delegates some of his responsibilities to the Gems while still keeping a close eye on his dad's recovery process.
