Stillwater Season 1 Episode 8: Crossing Over / Kind of Blue

In "Crossing Over", the eighth episode of Stillwater's first season, young siblings Addy, Michael, and Karl are feeling blue because they have to say goodbye to their beloved pet goldfish, Lenny. In their own imaginative way, they try to come up with ways to keep Lenny with them forever, but Stillwater teaches them about the natural flow of life and how everything and everyone has a time to cross over, including pets. Stillwater shows them that they can honor Lenny's memory by creating a special ritual to say goodbye and release him back into nature.

In "Kind of Blue," Stillwater tells a story about a famous jazz musician who is feeling uninspired until he goes on a journey to rediscover the music within. The children are inspired by the story and decide to create their own "kind of blue" music using everyday objects as instruments. But when their impromptu concert is interrupted by a grouchy neighbor, Stillwater once again comes to the rescue with a lesson about finding balance between creating and respecting the boundaries of others.
