Tessa's teacher, Mr. Wolfe, who is known for his unconventional ways of teaching, assigns a poetry assignment to the class. Tessa struggles to put her feelings into words and asks for her dad's help. George, who is not a poetry person, tries to help her by giving romantic advice. Meanwhile, Dallas gets jealous when her new hairstylist starts to spend more time with Dalia, and she decides to get a new look with disastrous results. Also, Fred asks Tessa out on a date, but Tessa is unsure if she wants to go out with Fred.
