In the first round, the chefs must cook up a Greek-inspired dish that incorporates ingredients from a shopping cart filled with lamb, feta cheese, and phyllo dough. With only 15 minutes to prepare and cook their dishes, the chefs must quickly come up with a creative and delicious meal for the judges to try.
Next, the chefs must make sweet treats using a variety of candies from another shopping cart. From gummy worms to sour patch kids, the chefs must use these sugary ingredients in unique ways to create desserts that will impress the judges in just 10 minutes.
For the final round, the chefs are tasked with creating open-faced sandwiches using ingredients from a mystery box. The box contains a variety of meats, vegetables, and breads, and the chefs must use their creativity and culinary skills to create tasty and visually appealing sandwiches under a tight time limit.
Throughout the episode, host Alex Guarnaschelli oversees the challenges and provides commentary as the chefs work to impress judges Esther Choi and Antonia Lofaso. With only one chef crowned as the winner at the end of the episode, tensions are high as the competitors battle it out for the prize.
