In Taskmaster Season 9 Episode 4, titled "Quisps," host Greg Davies and his assistant, Alex Horne, welcome five new contestants to the show: comedian Lou Sanders, actor and writer Sian Gibson, comedy writer Paul Sinha, singer and comedian Jess Knappett, and comedian Joe Thomas. The episode kicks off with a group task, where the contestants must work together to create a new fruit and present it to the judges. As expected, chaos ensues as the contestants struggle to agree on a cohesive idea.
Next, the players are each given an egg and must transport it down a hill without breaking it. The catch? They can't use their hands. Instead, they must use a variety of creatively improvised methods, ranging from rolling it down the hill to carrying it in their socks. The task is then repeated with a potato, adding a new level of difficulty.
In the third task, the contestants are presented with a large pile of ingredients and are tasked with cooking a meal for Alex and Greg. But there's a twist: they can only use appliances and utensils that are pre-approved by the hosts. This leads to some hilarious attempts at cooking spaghetti with a vacuum cleaner and carving a roast with a handsaw.
The final task of the episode sees the contestants attempting to identify everyday objects that have been partially obscured by a sheet. In order to do so, they must punch through the sheet, but they are only given nine punches each. This results in some clever deduction and strategic punching, as well as some overly aggressive attempts to uncover the objects.
As always, the episode is full of laughs, as the contestants bring their own unique brand of humor and creativity to each task. Will anyone emerge as the clear leader, or will it be another close call? Tune in to find out in "Quisps."
