Ep 24. Red Fired Up

Eric Forman has been lazing around since the end of his relationship with Donna. The episode begins with him telling Steven Hyde how he hasn't been able to shake off his malaise. Hyde suggests he does some introspection to help Eric understand what he wants out of his relationship with Donna.

In the meantime, Kitty and Red are struggling with the mounting tensions in their marriage. While Kitty is trying her best to be supportive, Red is feeling beleaguered by his unfulfilling job at Pricemart. The episode exposes another side of Red where he vents out his frustration on the household.

Red's anger finally culminates in him losing his cool on Eric. He unleashes on him for his laziness and inability to do anything right. Eric tries to keep his cool, but Red's constant harping sets him off. He tells Red that there is no point in doing anything because nothing he does seems to be good enough.

The reaction sets off a chain of events where Red is forced to reflect on his own behavior. After talking to Kitty and Hyde, he realizes that his pent-up anger at work was affecting his home life. Red's final realization causes him to make a bold decision - he quits his job.

This decision doesn't come easy, and Red knows he has to break the news to Kitty, who doesn't take it well initially. But, after seeing the positive effects that quitting has on Red and the whole family, she comes around to the idea.

Meanwhile, Eric and Donna bump into each other, and she invites him over to watch a movie. They try to ignore the elephant in the room initially, but eventually, they end up talking about their break-up. They still have feelings for each other, but have to figure out how to move forward.

The episode ends on a tender note, with Red and Eric making amends. They understand each other's perspectives better, and Red tells Eric that he's proud of the person he's become. The episode serves as a reminder that sometimes, it takes a crisis to find a solution.
