Stephanie grapples with her decision, then asks for God's forgiveness. She pulls back her hand and walks away from the pool. Tim decides he has to leave. Taylor tells Ridge that Stephanie isn't answering at the house. When they arrive, Stephanie tells them what happened and that Morgan is dead. Ridge makes up a story to cover why Stephanie didn't try to help Morgan, but Lt. Baker tells them that he checked the pool and no one's there. Taylor and Ridge realize Tim must have pulled Morgan out of the pool. Tim tries to help a sputtering Morgan to the van. When Stephanie hears the van pull away, she tells Ridge that he has to stop them. The van is intercepted, but only Tim is inside. Stephanie is horrified when she comes face to face with a sopping wet Morgan. Bridget is anxious to find out her mystery man's name. Pretending to be nervous, Deacon admits that she's heard about him and her family doesn't like him. Bridget is blown away when he reveals that he is Deacon Sharpe. As the pieces fall into place, Bridget realizes that he's in love with Amber. Deacon denies it. Deacon tells Bridget that it could never work for them and starts to leave, but Bridget stops him. Deacon confesses that she had to see him again. He asks her for one dance before they part. As they dance, Deacon tells himself that her family will do anything to protect Bridget from him. Amber tells Rick about her visit with Deacon and about how Deacon has a plan to get his son back. Rick is sure that Deacon is bluffing. Amber insists that Deacon isn't a bad guy and the whole thing could have been handled better.
