Sally reads about the wedding, and notes bitterly that while the Forresters' year has been full of blessings, theirs has been full of tragedy. Darla is sure that the Forresters will get what's coming to them. Clarke comments that he can't imagine Deacon letting them get away with what they've done to him, but Darla doubts Deacon would show up at the wedding with security so tight. Bridget notices Deacon's nervousness, but assures him that he'll get the reaction he wants from her family when they see how happy he makes her. Rick and Amber pledge their love as the ceremony continues. Before they go in, Deacon kisses Bridget and tells her that no matter what happens and what they say, she is the only woman he cares about. As Rick is saying his vows, Deacon and Bridget sit down in the back of the chapel. Rick is horrified when Eric interrupts the ceremony and demands to know what Deacon is doing there. When Bridget explains that Deacon is her date, everyone reacts in shock and outrage. Deacon puts an arm around Bridget and adds that not only are they dating, but they're falling in love. He suggests they get on with the ceremony.
