Brooke tells Stephanie that Deacon has Bridget completely snowed, but Stephanie assures her that Bridget is smart and can figure out Deacon on her own. Brooke wishes Bridget could hear what Deacon says about her when she's not around. Brooke has an idea and pulls out a tiny tape recorder. She asks Stephanie to try to get him to talk about his marriage. Stephanie is concerned, reminding Brooke that Deacon went berserk that last time they tried to trick him, but Brooke thinks it's the only way to stop him. Stephanie calls Deacon and pretends she wants to talk to him about Amber. He agrees to meet her at the Insomnia. When Ridge hears that Taylor mysteriously slipped out to see a doctor, he assumes that she's pregnant. Taylor comes home and tells Ridge there's something they need to discuss. Taylor is stunned when Ridge jumps the gun and expresses his excitement over having another baby. Bridget is disappointed that Deacon is more interested in watching the ball game than in enjoying the meal she lovingly prepared.
