- January 1, 1950
Bee-Friended / The Nightmare is the 13th episode of season 1 of the beloved children's show The Book of Pooh. The episode follows Winnie the Pooh and his friends Tigger, Piglet, Eeyore, and Rabbit as they explore the Hundred Acre Wood and encounter two very different experiences.
In the first part of the episode, Bee-Friended, Pooh and his friends stumble upon a beehive and become intrigued by the buzzing creatures inside. Rabbit warns the group not to disturb the bees, but Tigger and Piglet can't resist the temptation to get a closer look. When they accidentally knock over the hive, the bees become angry and chase the group through the woods. Pooh, being the friendliest of the bunch, comes up with a plan to apologize to the bees and make amends. With Rabbit's help, they gather flowers and create a peace treaty, offering it up to the bees as a symbol of their friendship. The bees accept the gesture and the group is able to leave the woods unscathed, having learned the importance of respecting nature and making amends when mistakes are made.
In the second part of the episode, The Nightmare, Pooh has a scary dream that leaves him feeling frightened and uneasy. When he wakes up, he tries to shake off the fear by distracting himself with various activities, but the dream keeps haunting him. His friends notice that something is wrong and offer their support, but Pooh is too embarrassed to admit that he's scared. Finally, he opens up to Rabbit, who helps him confront his fears and realize that sometimes it's okay to be scared. With Rabbit's encouragement, Pooh is able to face his nightmare head-on and emerge stronger for it.
Bee-Friended / The Nightmare is a heartwarming and educational episode that teaches important lessons about friendship, respect for nature, and dealing with fear.
