Power Rangers is a live action adventure TV series intended to be watched by children. Based off of the Japanese TV show Kyoryuu Sentai Zyu, the Power Rangers are a group of five martial artists that kick and punch their way through their enemies to save the universe. Armed with the aid of special powers and equipment, the Power Rangers stop the path of evil destruction.

The alien leader Zordon hand selected five ordinary teenagers to train to become superheros or Power Rangers. Zordon gives the Rangers the ability to morph into ninja warriors. When morphed, the Rangers have superhuman powers and wear color-coded and skin tight combat suits. These warriors were originally selected to help rid the universe of Rita Repulsa, an evil alien witch who is bent on domination of the galaxies. This powerful witch summons evil henchmen to aid her in her evil quests.

The Power Rangers Start off by fighting the monsters with hand to hand combat. Each ranger is also equipped with a unique combat weapon. When the Rangers become overpowered or when martial arts and small weapons just aren't cutting it, they have powerful dinosaur assault vehicles called Zords to help them fight their battles. Each Power Ranger's Zord is a different dinosaur with a matching color corresponding with their uniform. When the enemies grow into incredible giants, the Power Rangers combine their Zords into one larger Megazord. This giant robot is commanded by all of the Rangers and is often used to solve final conflicts. These conflicts or showdowns usually occur at the end of the program and result in an epic battle of gigantic proportions.

The Power Rangers are ninja heroes destined to save the universe from destruction. With the aid of Zordon, the Rangers are capable of incredible strengths. Fighting their way through a series of evil villains, the Power Rangers are here to save the day from sure destruction.

'Might Morphin Power Rangers' Live-Action Movies Are In the Works

It's Morphin' time! All you 90's kids out there will be excited to hear about this plan: Lionsgate is teaming up with Saban to bring not just one, but a series of live-action "Power Rangers" movies to the big screen. The new movies will "re-envision" the classic kid's show, and that's not at all surprising. The campy, over-the-top tone of the original "Power Rangers" or even the slightly more epic "Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie" wouldn't quite fit into today's cinematic world of gritty superhero flicks.
