Power Rangers Super Mega Force is the 21st season of the Power Rangers series. It premiered on February 15, 2014 on the Nickelodeon Network. This series follows Power Rangers Mega Force, and also celebrates the 20th anniversary of the franchise. It is the first season, since the Mighty Morphin? Power Rangers, to be adapted from more than one show. Power Rangers Super Mega Force contains elements from both Kaizoku Sentai Gokaiger and Tensou Sentai Goseiger. Power Rangers Super Mega Force's premise deals with the Power Rangers defending Earth from an enormous alien armada sent to conquer the planet. The leader of Power Rangers Super Mega Force is a supernatural guardian named, Gosei. He has defended the Earth for centuries, but enlists the help of the Power Rangers. Gosei gives them morphers and keys, which allow them to transform into the Super Mega Force Rangers. When needed the rangers can also transform into a team of Power Rangers from the past, as an added bonus to Power Rangers Super Mega Force. As with the previous seasons each Ranger has a unique weapon and Zord to call upon in combat.
