The Brink season 1 episode 7, titled "Sticky Wicket," follows three separate storylines. The first centers on Walter Larson, the U.S. Secretary of State, who is in Pakistan negotiating a deal for a nuclear warhead. Larson is struggling to keep up with the constant shifts in power and alliances among the various Pakistani officials he is dealing with. Meanwhile, in Washington D.C., Larson's aide, Alex Talbot, is desperately trying to get a meeting with the President to update him on the situation.

The second storyline follows Lieutenant Commander Zeke "Z-Pak" Tilson and his team aboard the USS Ulysses, a naval ship patrolling the waters surrounding Pakistan. When one of Tilson's men is bitten by a poisonous sea snake, he needs to act fast to save his life before the venom spreads. But with limited medical supplies, Tilson has to improvise a treatment using a cocktail of drugs he learned about on the internet.

The third storyline centers on Rafiq, a Pakistani prisoner who is being interrogated by an American CIA agent, Kendra Peterson. Despite Peterson's aggressive tactics, Rafiq refuses to reveal any information about his supposed terrorist organization. As the interrogation drags on, the two develop an unexpected rapport, leading to surprising developments.

As these three storylines unfold, they intersect in unexpected ways, building to a dramatic climax that leaves the characters' fates uncertain. With its blend of political intrigue, military action, and dark humor, "Sticky Wicket" is a thrilling episode of The Brink that showcases the show's unique style and approach to storytelling.
