Alpha House is a live action television series that began airing in 2013. It is produced by Amazon Studios and is a comedic political satire. John Goodman takes the leading role of the series as Senator Gil John Biggs. Supporting Goodman in the show is Robert Bettencourt, a Republican Senator from Pennsylvania played by Clark Johnson. Also in the main cast is Louis Laffer, a Senator fro Nevada played by Matt Malloy. Mark Consuelos rounds out the main cast, and he plays Andy Guzman, a Senator from Florida. The four Congressmen all share a house in D.C. and like real politicians, face the same challenges such as elections, committees and indictments, all while being incredibly satirical about it. Interestingly enough, all of the main characters are based off of real Congressmen, a prime being Dick Durbin of Illinois. Another interesting fact is that there are several recurring guest stars on the show, such as Haley Joel Osment playing a news reporter. Garry Trudeau serves as the creator, writer and executive producer of this series. Adam Bernstein and Bob Balaban are the directors in charger of making all of this production possible.
