Ep 1. Episode 1

Saiki Kusuo is not your ordinary high school student, he is a psychic. He possesses a wide range of abilities such as telepathy, telekinesis, clairvoyance, and psychokinesis, just to name a few. However, he considers his powers a curse as he has trouble turning them off, causing him to constantly hear the thoughts of those around him.

In Episode 1 of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K., we are introduced to Saiki as he navigates through a typical day at his high school. He tries his best to remain inconspicuous and keep his powers a secret, but his efforts are constantly thwarted by his classmates. The episode begins with Saiki's internal monologue as he discusses his aversion to anything out of the ordinary, due to the fact that it draws too much attention to him.

As Saiki arrives at school, he quickly realizes that it's going to be an eventful day. His classmate, Nendou Riki, is introduced as the class's resident airhead who has an annoying habit of shouting at the top of his lungs. Saiki attempts to ignore him, but Riki's screams pierce through even the most durable of psychic barriers. Later in class, Saiki finds out that his crush, Kaidou Shun, is convinced that he too possesses extraordinary powers. Saiki is forced to play along with Kaidou's delusion and use his psychic abilities to create an elaborate fantasy world in which Kaidou is a superhero.

Throughout the episode, Saiki also encounters a few familiar faces, including his childhood friend Kokomi Teruhashi, who loves nothing more than soaking up the attention of her classmates. She often uses her looks and charm to manipulate those around her, and even Saiki isn't immune to her tactics. Saiki also comes across another psychic named Hairo Kineshi, who is determined to use his powers to become a professional boxer. And of course, Saiki's overprotective parents also make an appearance, much to his chagrin.

As the day progresses, we see how much effort Saiki puts into keeping his powers a secret. He constantly has to be on the lookout for anyone who might suspect something, making his already difficult life even more complicated. However, despite his best efforts, Saiki is forced to reveal his powers in order to save a cat that has wandered onto a busy road. Though he is initially frustrated by the attention he receives from his classmates, he cannot help but feel relieved that the cat is safe.

The first episode of The Disastrous Life of Saiki K. sets the tone for the rest of the series. We see how difficult it is for Saiki to live a normal life despite his extraordinary powers, and how he is constantly bombarded with the antics of his classmates. The show's blend of humor and drama keeps the audience engaged and wanting more, as we watch Saiki try to navigate his way through the world around him. Overall, Episode 1 is an entertaining and engaging start to what promises to be a delightful series.
