Ep 21. George and Gracie Going to Opera 'Carmen'

George Burns and Gracie Allen are back for another hilarious episode of their popular show. In season 4 episode 21, titled "George and Gracie Going to Opera 'Carmen'," the beloved couple from the golden age of television decide to attend an opera production of "Carmen."

Gracie is convinced that she and George can pass for high society and decides to dress accordingly, borrowing a fancy gown from a neighbor and even donning a wig. George, on the other hand, is less than thrilled about the prospect of spending his evening stuck in uncomfortable formalwear.

As they leave the house, George begins to panic when he realizes he has forgotten the tickets. The ever-resourceful Gracie comes up with a plan to con their way into the opera house by pretending to be members of the press.

The hijinks continue throughout the evening, with Gracie making a scene during intermission and later getting herself and George kicked out of the opera house. But as always, George and Gracie manage to find the humor in the situation, and the episode ends with the couple laughing and joking about their misadventures.
