Ep 5. Repass

Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish continue to headline the hilarious and thought-provoking comedy series The Last O.G. in season 1 episode 5 entitled Repass.

After feeling out of place at the family's repass, Tray (Morgan) searches for a new community to heal his longing for his old neighborhood. Meanwhile, Shay (Haddish) entertains an unlikely guest.

The episode opens with Tray and Shay attending a family repass for a relative who has passed away. Tray feels out of place and disconnected from his family, who are all very religious and conservative. Throughout the episode, Tray tries to find a new community that fits him better, where he can belong.

While at the repass, Tray reconnects with his cousin Bobby (played by comedian Allen Maldonado), who he hasn't seen in years. Bobby is an entrepreneur who has created a business selling hoodies with built-in headphones. Tray decides to invest in the business, using the money he has saved up from working at the coffee shop.

Meanwhile, back at the halfway house, Shay is surprised to find her ex-boyfriend Devon (played by Cory Hardrict) waiting for her. Devon is fresh out of prison and looking for Shay's help to get his life back on track. Shay is hesitant to help at first, but eventually agrees to give Devon a chance.

As the episode progresses, Tray finds himself drawn to a group of young skateboarders who hang out at a local skate park. The group is diverse and accepting, and Tray feels like he belongs with them. He even starts to learn a few skateboarding tricks.

However, when Bobby's hoodie business takes a turn for the worse, Tray is forced to figure out a way to make some quick cash. He turns to his skateboard friends for help, but things don't go exactly according to plan.

In the end, Tray realizes that he can't force himself to fit into a certain community. He needs to find people who accept him for who he is. With encouragement from Shay, he decides to start his own business, selling his grandmother's famous crab cakes.

Repas is a funny and heartwarming episode that explores themes of community, belonging, and finding your place in the world. Tracy Morgan and Tiffany Haddish deliver standout performances, as always, and the supporting cast is equally strong. Fans of The Last O.G. will not be disappointed.
