Allison Janney, Jesse Tyler Ferguson, and Leona Lewis are the guests on the 79th episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden's first season. The show starts with James Corden interviewing Allison Janney, known for her roles in The West Wing and Mom. They discuss her career and her recent Oscar win. Jesse Tyler Ferguson, from Modern Family, joins Corden on the couch next. They talk about his Broadway career and his upcoming wedding.
After the interviews, Leona Lewis, a British singer, performs her new single "Fire Under My Feet" on the show. The audience cheers as Lewis hits every note. During the commercial break, Corden and his guests play a game called "Flinch" where they stand behind a protective glass wall while Corden throws fruit at them. The goal is to not flinch when the fruit hits the wall. All the guests play the game, with hilarious consequences.
After the game, the guests sit down again for the second part of the show. Janney talks about her love for Hamilton: An American Musical, and Corden and Ferguson join her in singing a few lines from the show. Ferguson also discusses his love for Beyoncé, and the three of them try to recreate her "Single Ladies" dance.
The show wraps up with a final performance by Leona Lewis, this time singing "Bleeding Love," one of her biggest hits. Corden and the guests dance along as she finishes the song, and the audience cheers once more. As the credits roll, the guests hug and wave to the audience, ending another successful episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden.
