Judi Dench, Kyle MacLachlan, and Kasabian are the guests on this episode of The Late Late Show with James Corden. The show opens with Corden delivering his monologue, touching on current events and offering his humorous take on the news of the day.
Dame Judi Dench is the first guest to join Corden on stage. The beloved British actress has been in the entertainment industry for over 60 years, and has won numerous awards for her work on stage and screen. She discusses her latest role in the film Victoria & Abdul, in which she portrays Queen Victoria in her later years. Corden and Dench discuss the challenges of working with animals on set, as well as the emotional weight of playing historical figures. Dench also reveals some interesting behind-the-scenes details about her time on the James Bond film franchise.
Next up is Kyle MacLachlan, best known for his roles in cult classic TV shows Twin Peaks and Portlandia. MacLachlan discusses the return of Twin Peaks after 25 years off the air, and how it felt to step back into the role of Special Agent Dale Cooper. Corden and MacLachlan also discuss their mutual love of wine, and how MacLachlan got into the business of developing his own label. MacLachlan reveals that his signature blend is a red wine made from grapes grown near his family's vineyard in Washington state.
Finally, rock band Kasabian takes the stage for a musical performance. The Leicester-based group has been making music since the late 90s, and has gained a strong following in the UK. They perform their hit single "You're in Love with a Psycho" from their latest album For Crying Out Loud. Corden joins the band on stage afterwards for a brief chat, discussing their touring plans and the inspiration behind their music.
Throughout the show, Corden engages in his usual antics, such as playing games with the guests and making jokes at their expense. In his "Drop the Mic" segment, he faces off against Dench in a rap battle (spoiler alert: both are surprisingly good). Overall, the episode offers a nice mix of entertainment and conversation, with guests from a range of backgrounds and talents.
