Ep 3. Legend of the Month/Marie's Dead Husband

The Life and Times of Tim season 2 episode 3, "Legend of the Month/Marie's Dead Husband," follows Tim as he navigates through two very different situations. Tim decides to eat an entire pizza in memory of Marie's dead husband, hoping to impress her with his newfound skill as a competitive eater and cheer her up in the process. Despite its comedic premise, "Legend of the Month/Marie's Dead Husband" is ultimately a touching episode about grief and the ways in which people cope with loss. Through Tim's misguided attempts to cheer up Marie and his own struggles with obsession, the episode explores the complex and often messy emotions that come with losing someone you love. While the show's signature irreverent humor is still present, there are moments of genuine heart and sincerity that make this episode stand out from the rest of the series.
