Set in the late 17th century in Amsterdam, The Miniaturist is a period drama that follows a young bride, Nella Oortman (played by Anya Taylor-Joy), who arrives at her newly married home to find a world she never expected. As the tensions in the house escalate, Nella starts to fear for her safety and that of her new friends. She embarks on a dangerous journey of discovery, where every turn seems to bring her closer to the truth, but also puts her in greater peril.
