The Price is Right Season 2015 Episode 51 Laura Ashby Vs. Colin Thibadeau Vs. Matt Keeshin

  • November 23, 2015

Laura Ashby, Colin Thibadeau, and Matt Keeshin are the contestants on today's episode of The Price is Right. The iconic game show features host Drew Carey as he leads the audience and contestants through a series of pricing games with the goal of winning big prizes.

The first game of the episode is "Plinko," in which the contestants drop a round chip onto a game board covered in pegs and try to get it to land in the slots at the bottom that are worth the most money. Laura is up first and she nervously drops her chip, excitedly watching as it bounces around before finally coming to rest in a $500 slot. Colin is next and he lands his chip in a $1,000 slot, putting him in the lead. Finally, it's Matt's turn and he too lands in a $1,000 slot, tying with Colin.

Up next is a game called "Hole in One (or Two)," in which the contestants are given a chance to win a brand new car. They have to putt a golf ball from a starting point at the top of a ramp and try to get it into a hole at the bottom of the ramp that leads to the car. However, contestants are only given one chance to make it, and they must earn the right to putt by correctly guessing the prices of various grocery items. Laura goes first and manages to get very close to the hole with her putt, but not close enough to win the car. Colin is up next and he takes his time lining up his shot, but unfortunately misses the hole completely. Finally, it's Matt's turn, and he manages to sink the ball into the hole, winning the car and sending the audience into a frenzy of excitement.

The third game of the episode is "One Bid," in which the contestants are shown a prize and then must bid on its actual retail price. The contestant who comes closest to the actual price without going over gets to go up on stage and play a pricing game. A washing machine is up for bid, and Laura confidently bids $950. Colin follows with a bid of $1,200, and Matt rounds things out with a bid of $1,050. The actual retail price is revealed to be $1,199, making Colin the winner and sending him up on stage to play the next game.

The fourth game is "Switcheroo," in which contestants are shown five small prizes and their incorrect prices. They must correctly match each prize with the correct price in order to win a larger prize, such as a set of outdoor furniture or a trip to Paris. Colin manages to match all five prices correctly, winning the trip to Paris and setting the stage for a tiebreaker between him and Matt.

The final game of the episode is "Showcase Showdown," in which the two remaining contestants spin a giant wheel and try to get as close to $1.00 as possible without going over. Both Colin and Matt nervously spin the wheel, with Matt coming out on top by just a few cents. He advances to the showcase round, where he will have a chance to win even more fabulous prizes.

Overall, episode 51 of The Price is Right is a high-stakes, high-energy episode full of exciting contests and enthusiastic audience members. With its signature blend of suspense and humor, this long-running game show continues to captivate viewers and offer its lucky contestants the opportunity to strike it rich.
