Homer and Marge decide to attend a parent's seminar in order to be better parents for their children. However, things take a turn for the worse when they realize they are not in the same seminar group, and each parent has their own approach to parenting.
Meanwhile, Bart develops a crush on a girl at school named Jenny, and turns to Grampa for advice on how to win her over. Grampa reveals that he was a ladies' man in his youth and Bart takes his advice to heart, leading to some hilarious consequences.
As the seminar progresses, Homer and Marge each start to embody the extremes of their parenting styles. Homer becomes an overprotective helicopter parent, while Marge becomes too hands-off and permissive. This causes tension between them and ultimately leads to a hilarious showdown in front of the entire seminar.
Meanwhile, Bart's attempts to impress Jenny go awry and he ends up needing to be rescued by Grampa. In the end, Homer and Marge come to a realization about the importance of balance in parenting, while Bart learns that being himself is the most important thing when it comes to winning over a girl.
Father Knows Worst is a classic episode of The Simpsons that tackles the relatable topic of parenting with humor and heart. With its iconic characters and witty writing, it's no wonder why the show has become one of the most beloved and celebrated animated series of all time.
