Ep 12. The Man Who Grew Too Much

In The Simpsons season 25 episode 12, titled "The Man Who Grew Too Much," Lisa is tasked with writing an essay on a scientific discovery, and after some debate, she decides to write about genetic modification. As she studies the topic further, she becomes more and more passionate about the potential benefits of genetic modification for the future of agriculture. Meanwhile, Bart and Milhouse stumble upon a new comic book store and bond with its owner, who turns out to be a former scientist for Monsanto. Despite the warning, Lisa decides to take the job at Monsanto, where she meets the scientist responsible for the genetically modified tomato. He has been working on a new project: developing a plant that can grow in any environment, which could potentially solve the world's hunger crisis. However, Lisa soon realizes that the scientist's motivations are not as selfless as she first thought, and that he may have dangerous intentions for his latest creation.

Back in Springfield, Marge becomes concerned about Homer's snoring and takes him to a sleep clinic, where he is diagnosed with sleep apnea. After being fitted with a CPAP machine, Homer becomes addicted to the feeling of a good night's sleep and begins wearing the machine all the time, even at work.

As the storylines converge, Lisa's excitement about the promise of genetic modification turns to horror as she realizes the true consequences of unchecked scientific experimentation. The episode tackles ethical questions around genetic modification and corporate responsibility, while also delivering plenty of classic Simpsons humor.
