  • October 21, 2013

On the fifth season of The Voice, the Battle Premiere (3) went live, and the teams finally started taking shape. The episode started with a lively performance by Adam Levine, who sang "Crazy Little Thing Called Love" with his team of singers. Following his team's performance, Adam took his place in his red swivel chair next to the other judges, Blake Shelton, CeeLo Green, and Christina Aguilera.

The first bout was between two of Adam's team members: James Wolpert and Will Champlin. They chose to sing the song "Radioactive" by Imagine Dragons, and it was an explosive performance. The judges had a tough time deciding between the two, but ultimately, Adam chose Will as the winner of the battle.

Next up was a performance by Team Christina's Amber Nicole, and Timyra-Joi. They sang the classic song "Listen" from the movie Dreamgirls. The judges were blown away by both of their performances; however, in the end, Christina chose to keep Timyra-Joi, and Amber was sent home.

Another standout performance from the episode was by Team Blake's E.G. Daily and Ray Boudreaux. They sang the song "Hard to Handle" by the Black Crowes, and it was a real showstopper. Blake had a difficult time choosing between the two but ultimately decided to keep Ray on his team.

Team CeeLo's Caroline Pennell and Anthony Paul were up next; they chose to sing the song "Leaving On a Jet Plane" by John Denver. While both singers gave it their all, in the end, CeeLo chose to keep Caroline on his team.

Team Adam's Grey and Nic Hawk also had a memorable performance. They sang the song "Domino" by Jessie J, and they both put on an equally fantastic performance. But at the end of it, Adam had to choose, and he decided to keep Nic on his team.

Another impressive performance from the episode came from Team Christina's Destinee Quinn and Lina Gaudenzi. They chose to sing the song "Not Ready to Make Nice" by the Dixie Chicks, and they both gave a stunning performance. After the emotional rendition, Christina ultimately decided to keep Destinee on her team.

Finally, the last performance of the night was from Team CeeLo's Tamara Chauniece and Keaira LaShae. They sang the hit song "Biggest Fan" by Ne-Yo, and it was a fire performance that left all the judges impressed. After deliberating, CeeLo chose to keep Tamara on his team.

Overall, the Battle Premiere (3) episode of The Voice season 5 was filled with some fantastic performances, and the judges had some tough decisions to make. The teams were starting to take shape, and the competition was getting more intense with every performance. Fans eagerly awaited the next episode, and the excitement was palpable.
