Ep 15. Something They Need

Rick and the group have been struggling to defeat Negan and the Saviors for months, but they've come up short every time. But this week's episode, "Something They Need", sees Rick and his team make a daring move that could change everything.

In the episode, we see Tara finally reveal the existence of the Oceanside community to Rick. She tells him that they have a large stash of guns and weapons that could be used to help defeat the Saviors. Tara's gained this information back in season 7, episode 6, "Swear". Rick, of course, is immediately interested in this new development and decides to lead a group to Oceanside in order to convince them to hand over their weapons.

Meanwhile, Sasha is still being held captive by Negan and the Saviors. Eugene continues to try and manipulate Sasha into staying loyal to Negan, but Sasha doesn't seem to be buying it. She's still determined to take down Negan and free her friends.

Back at the Hilltop, Gregory is becoming increasingly paranoid about his position as leader. He begins to fear that Maggie and the others are planning to overthrow him. So, he decides to take matters into his own hands and make a deal with Simon, one of Negan's lieutenants. But things don't quite go as planned, and Gregory finds himself in a precarious situation.

When Rick and his group arrive at Oceanside, they're met with hostility. The women of the community refuse to give up their weapons, fearing that they'll be left defenseless. But Rick is determined to convince them, and he comes up with a plan that involves both coercion and compromise. It's a risky move, but Rick knows that they need those weapons if they're going to have any chance of defeating the Saviors.

Back at the Sanctuary, Sasha takes matters into her own hands. She manages to secure some kind of weapon and begins to hatch a plan to take down Negan. But as we've come to expect with this show, things don't go as planned.

Overall, "Something They Need" is a tense and exciting episode. We see a lot of political maneuvering, both between the various groups and within them. It's clear that everyone is beginning to feel the pressure as they head towards the season finale, and we can expect some major showdowns in the episodes to come.
