Ep 8. Evolution

In the season 9 episode 8 of The Walking Dead titled "Evolution," the survivors are still dealing with the aftermath of the massive walker herd that destroyed Alexandria. The tensions between the different communities are still high, and the residents of Hilltop are particularly concerned about the safety of their community.

The episode begins with Michonne and Siddiq traveling to Hilltop to discuss the recent events and to help with the medical needs of the community. Meanwhile, Daryl and Dog are on a mission to track down a missing Henry, who disappeared from Hilltop after getting into a fight with some other teenagers.

As the episode progresses, viewers get a glimpse of the new threat facing the survivors. A group of highly intelligent and extremely dangerous walkers, known as Whisperers, have emerged. The Whisperers wear the skin of the dead as camouflage, allowing them to blend in with the walker herds and move undetected.

The survivors are initially unaware of this new threat, but they begin to realize that something is different about the walkers they encounter. The episode puts a particular focus on the relationship between Judith and Negan. After being released from his cell for good behavior, Negan is given a tour of Alexandria by Judith. The two share a few meaningful moments, and Negan starts to show a softer side.

Elsewhere, Daryl and Dog eventually come across Lydia, a teenage girl who is running away from the Whisperers. Despite some initial hostility, they agree to help her escape. This decision may have serious consequences for the group in the future.

Meanwhile, Michonne and Siddiq are attacked by a mysterious group of survivors who are rounding up walkers and using them as weapons against other groups. The episode ends with the group of survivors being revealed as the Whisperers. The survivors are completely unprepared for this new foe, and it is clear that they are going to have to find a way to adapt if they want to survive.

"Evolution" is a tense, action-packed episode that sets the stage for the second half of season 9. The introduction of the Whisperers adds a new layer of danger and complexity to the show's universe, and viewers will be eagerly anticipating the survivors' next move. The episode also features some strong character moments, particularly between Judith and Negan. Overall, "Evolution" is a great addition to an already excellent season.
