Ep 2. Episode 2

Walter Hartright, an artist, has taken a position as a drawing master to two young ladies, Laura Fairlie and Marian Halcombe. The two sisters reside in Limmeridge House, with their uncle, Mr. Frederick Fairlie. Marian is intelligent and charismatic. Laura is gentle and compassionate. Both women, despite their differences, are equally close to Walter's heart, and he soon falls in love with Laura.

However, his romantic pursuit of Laura is met with opposition, as Mr. Fairlie strongly disapproves of Walter's advances. Nevertheless, Walter persists in his pursuit of Laura, and their love for one another continues to grow.

Meanwhile, strange occurrences begin to take place. A mysterious woman dressed in white appears to Walter and implores him to help her. Later, he discovers that the same woman has been seen lurking around Limmeridge House. When asked about the woman, Marian tells Walter that she believes it is Anne Catherick, a young woman who was once a patient of the late Mrs. Fairlie, Laura's mother.

Walter teams up with Marian to unravel the mystery of Anne Catherick and the woman in white. Their investigation leads them to discover a dark secret about Laura's engagement to Sir Percival Glyde, a wealthy man with a questionable character.

Episode 2 sees Walter and Marian continue to investigate the enigmatic Anne Catherick, determined to find out more about the woman in white. They soon discover that she has connections to Sir Percival Glyde, and that her knowledge of his past could put him in a vulnerable position.
