This cultural, historical and nature documentary TV show premiered in 2015 on CNN. In this TV show host Bill Weir travels to the far corners of the world to explore fascinating but threatened places due to the effects of modern life such as industrialization. Weir explores places as remote as the Galapagos Islands in the Pacific Ocean and the Island nation of Vanuatu in the South Pacific where modern life may bring an end to paradise and unique species of animals. Weir also travels to more populated areas such as the Dead Sea in Israel, the Alps in Europe and the Everglades in Florida where a changing climate and increased stress on natural resources poses problems for people, animals and the environment.
