Ep 2. Handcuffs

In episode 2 of Togetherness season 1, titled Handcuffs, we dive further into the story of Brett and Michelle - a married couple with two children who are struggling to keep their relationship alive. After a disastrous couples therapy session in the previous episode, Brett and Michelle are attempting to rekindle their love by going on a date night.

However, their plans are derailed when an old friend of Brett's - David, comes into town unexpectedly and decides to stay with them. David is a struggling actor who Brett used to be roommates with. While Brett is initially excited to see his old friend, Michelle quickly becomes annoyed with David's presence.

Meanwhile, Alex and Tina are facing their own relationship troubles as well. Tina is still reeling from her breakup with her ex-boyfriend, and Alex is taking advantage of the situation by trying to convince her to sleep with him. However, their fling is cut short when they get handcuffed together at a party.

As the night goes on, tensions rise between all four characters. Michelle becomes increasingly jealous of Brett's close relationship with David, and David's laid-back attitude begins to rub her the wrong way. Brett, on the other hand, is struggling with his own feelings for Michelle and his loyalty to his friend.

In the midst of all this, Alex and Tina are stuck together and forced to confront their own issues. As they attempt to free themselves from the handcuffs, they also come to realize that they may have feelings for each other.

By the end of the episode, all of the characters are forced to confront the state of their relationships. Brett and Michelle are still trying to figure out how to keep their marriage alive, while Alex and Tina are questioning whether or not they should pursue a romantic relationship. In the end, the episode leaves all four characters at a crossroads - unsure of the future, but willing to try and figure it out together.
