Ep 9. Music of the Spheres

In season 1 episode 9 of Touch (2012), titled "Music of the Spheres," Martin's attempts to help the gifted and troubled teenager Trevor lead him to a realization about how his future son Jake's abilities might be used for the greater good. Trevor, a math prodigy who is able to interpret a complex numerical pattern in a Radiohead song, is being bullied by classmates and wants nothing more than to disappear. Despite Trevor's prickly demeanor and his father's reluctance to get involved, Martin is determined to help the boy and enlists Clea's help in finding him. Meanwhile, a wealthy college dropout named Guillermo offers Martin an opportunity to meet with his mentor, a legendary cult leader who may be able to help him understand Jake's purpose. As Martin tries to piece together the puzzle of Jake's abilities and what they mean for the world at large, he struggles to find a way to communicate his vision to those who would listen. With time running out and danger lurking around every corner, Martin must act quickly to unlock the secret of the music of the spheres and harness its power to prevent a catastrophic event from unfolding.
