In Trigonometry season 1 episode 2, we continue to follow the newly formed polyamorous relationship of Ray, Kieran, and Gemma as they navigate their feelings for one another. The trio is still adjusting to living together and sharing their lives as a throuple.

Gemma begins to feel insecure about her place in the relationship as she starts to suspect that Ray and Kieran are developing a deeper connection. Meanwhile, Ray struggles with work as she faces discrimination and mistreatment in her job as a cleaner. Kieran, now a stay-at-home artist, takes on a new project to distract himself from the turmoil within the group.

As tensions rise between the three, they turn to a therapist for help in working through their emotions and communication issues. The therapy session proves to be a turning point for the group, as they begin to understand each other's perspectives and clear up misunderstandings.

Throughout the episode, we also gain glimpses into each character's backstory and their individual struggles with family, identity, and societal norms.
