In the third episode of Tsuredure Children, titled "Point-Blank Relationship," we continue to explore the various romantic relationships that exist between high school students.
The episode begins with a focus on the pairing of Chiaki and Kana. Chiaki is a quiet and shy boy who struggles to express his feelings, while Kana is outgoing and bubbly. After a failed attempt at confessing her feelings to Chiaki, Kana decides to take matters into her own hands and use a game of rock-paper-scissors to determine their relationship status. The ensuing scene is equal parts awkward and endearing.
Next up is the couple of Miharu and Takurou. Miharu is a reserved girl who has trouble being honest with her feelings, while Takurou is a popular jock who is surprisingly sweet. The two have been dating for a while, but Miharu begins to worry that she's being too clingy. In an attempt to distance herself, she starts avoiding Takurou, but quickly realizes that this isn't what she wants.
Meanwhile, the show also explores the budding relationship between Ayaka and Kawaguchi. Ayaka is a confident and assertive girl who is used to getting what she wants, while Kawaguchi is more timid and reserved. Despite their differences, the two seem to have a connection, and Ayaka is determined to make something happen.
We then move on to the story of Takeru and Saki. Takeru is a flirtatious guy who enjoys teasing and flirting with girls, while Saki is a no-nonsense girl who doesn't have time for his games. However, after Takeru accidentally sees Saki in her school swimsuit, he begins to see her in a new light. In an attempt to win her over, he asks her to join the swim team with him.
Finally, the episode introduces us to the pairing of Haruhiko and Yuki. Haruhiko is a bit of a playboy who enjoys dating multiple girls at the same time, while Yuki is a cute girl who is undeniably smitten with him. Despite Yuki's feelings, Haruhiko seems content to keep things casual.
Overall, "Point-Blank Relationship" is an engaging episode that continues to develop the show's various characters and relationships. The series does a great job of portraying the ups and downs of teenage romance, and is sure to resonate with anyone who has ever experienced the joy, confusion, and heartbreak of young love.
