UFC Unleashed is a television show that features previous Ultimate Fighting Championship (UFC) events. The UFC is a mixed-martial arts (full contact) sport that has eight weight divisions who all fight within an Octagon cage. All fighters in the UFC train in many sports such as Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, freestyle wrestling, Kickboxing, Judo, Muay Thai, Tae Kwon Do, and boxing. During each show you will have the opportunity to see fights that include several strategies from sprawl-and-brawl, clinch fighting, ground-and-pound to submission grappling. The show replays and re-analyses previous fights with host, Mike Goldberg, who recaps some of the best fights in UFC history including legendary fighters, previous UFC winners, best knockouts, best submissions and best championship fights. In one episode, UFC Unleashed showed every previous fight between Tito Ortiz and Forrest Griffin. Often you will see replays of championship fights; for example, Junior dos Santos versus Frank Mir's heavyweight title bout at UFC 146. UFC Unleashed gives you the opportunity to catch up on past fights you may have missed or, if you are new to the sport, learn who the fighters are and what the sport is about.
