Ep 9. Possibility

In United States Of Tara season 1 episode 9, entitled "Possibility," Tara continues to struggle with memories from her past which are affecting her present life. In the previous episode, she received a call from an old boyfriend, Bryce, which triggered her dissociative identity disorder.

In this episode, Tara is still obsessed with the memories of her past, and she even starts to believe that Bryce was the one who caused her multiple personalities to surface. Despite her therapist's advice to avoid contact with Bryce, Tara decides to confront him about what happened in the past.

Meanwhile, Tara's daughter, Kate, is still struggling to find her own identity. She is trying to make a name for herself as a writer but is feeling insecure about her talent. She decides to confront her mentor and former lover, Evan, about her writing, which leads to a surprising outcome.

In the meantime, Tara's husband, Max, is trying to save his business, which has been hit hard by the economy. He is trying to sell his company to a wealthy businessman, but things are not going as planned. To make matters worse, Max is also dealing with his feelings for Tara's alter, Buck, who he is starting to see as a real threat to his marriage.

As the episode progresses, we see how Tara's multiple personalities are starting to take over her life. She becomes increasingly violent and unpredictable, causing chaos and destruction wherever she goes. Her family and friends are left to deal with the aftermath of her actions, and they are starting to wonder if rehab is the only way to help her.

In the end, what started as a possibility for Tara to confront her past, turns into a disaster which threatens to tear apart her already fragile family. As the credits roll, we are left to wonder what the future holds for Tara and her loved ones, and if they will be able to overcome the challenges that lie ahead.
