Pete, Myka, Claudia, and Steve come back to the Warehouse after a mission to discover that Artie is missing, and the Warehouse is behaving strangely. They find that they are in an alternate reality where they never joined the Warehouse team, and the Warehouse has become a retail store where Artie works as a manager. The team discovers that Artie is content in this reality, and they need to convince him to come back to their reality to fix the Warehouse and save the world from destruction.
The team discovers that they each have a Christmas gift that they need to give to Artie to convince him to come back. Pete needs to give Artie a key that he has been holding on to since he was a child, Myka needs to give Artie a book that was written by his son, Claudia needs to give Artie a friendship bracelet that they made together, and Steve needs to give Artie a watch that he made with his own hands.
The team splits up to find the perfect time to give Artie their gifts. Pete and Myka track down Artie's son and learn about his significance to Artie. Claudia and Steve work together to make a replacement friendship bracelet for Artie to replace the one she lost. Meanwhile, they also investigate the cause of the Warehouse being transformed into a store.
As they search to find Artie, they discover that an artifact is responsible for their alternate reality. They locate the artifact and destroy it which brings them back to their normal reality. Artie is back to being himself, and the Warehouse is restored. The team gives Artie their gifts, and he is grateful, but he doesn't remember anything about their alternate reality.
The team realizes that everything that happened during this episode never really occurred, but they cherish the memories that they had with Artie. They come to appreciate the Warehouse and their mission more, and they learn that the greatest gift that they can give is their friendship and loyalty to each other. They all go on to celebrate Christmas together and reflect on the events of the day.
