Weird or What? season 1 episode 2, titled "Ghost Ship," explores the mystery of a ship discovered adrift in the Atlantic Ocean. The ship, named the Baychimo, was a cargo vessel that disappeared in 1931 and was presumed lost at sea. However, six years later, it was spotted by a group of Inuit locals off the coast of Alaska, and then disappeared again.

Host William Shatner delves into what happened to the Baychimo and its crew. Was it a case of piracy or mutiny? Were the crew members abducted by aliens or kidnapped by a hidden society? Or was it something even more sinister, like a vengeful ghost crew?

To help decipher the mystery, Shatner invites a team of experts to investigate. Dr. Larry Ayers, a marine historian, uncovers the history of the Baychimo, its crew, and its final journey. He discovers the ship survived a major Arctic storm, but was abandoned by its crew as they deemed the vessel unsalvageable. Dr. Ayers also finds out that the ship was spotted several times after it was abandoned, leading to the possibility of it being haunted.

Paranormal investigator Susan King and psychic Chip Coffey join Dr. Ayers as they explore the idea of a ghost ship. Coffey tries to communicate with the spirits of the Baychimo crew members and feels a strong presence on board the ship. King uses her equipment to capture several ghostly images and EVPs (electronic voice phenomena) that seem to confirm the existence of supernatural activity.

Meanwhile, forensic psychologist Dr. Tom Collerton investigates the possibility of piracy or mutiny. He examines the evidence of the Baychimo's logbook, manifests, and cargo and interviews experts in the field. He theorizes that the crew members might have been involved in a conflict over the ship's valuable cargo or were potentially taken as hostages by pirates.

Lastly, Shatner brings in UFO expert Stanton Friedman to investigate the possibility of extraterrestrial involvement. Friedman explores the theory that the crew members might have been abducted by aliens, as several sightings of UFOs were reported in the area around the same time as the Baychimo's disappearance. He examines the evidence and provides his own theories on what might have happened.

Overall, "Ghost Ship" presents a fascinating exploration of a historical mystery that remains unsolved. Through interviews with experts, onsite investigations, and archival footage, the episode presents various theories and possibilities for what happened to the Baychimo and its crew. Ultimately, the show leaves it up to the viewers to draw their own conclusions.
