Ling Yi Zhou offers to be her donor, but Xia Lin refuses, not wanting to burden him with the risks of the procedure. Ling Yi Zhou tells her that he will do whatever it takes to help her, and Xia Lin begins to realize that she may have underestimated his feelings for her.

The episode ends with Ling Yi Zhou returning to his office and being confronted by his ex-girlfriend, who warns him that he will never be able to find happiness with Xia Lin because of their fake marriage. Ling Yi Zhou responds by telling her that he has never felt as happy as he does when he is with Xia Lin and that he will do whatever it takes to protect her.
