Ep 2. Episode 2

As a successful vice president of a major company, Lee Young-joon has everything he could possibly want- except for love. Though he is adored by his employees and regularly pursued by women, Young-joon has never found someone who can match his exacting standards. However, when his long-term secretary Kim Mi-so announces that she wants to quit her job, Young-joon is forced to confront the uncomfortable truth that he might be more emotionally invested in her than he realized.

In season 1 episode 2, entitled "Episode 2," tensions between Young-joon and Mi-so continue to rise as they attend a company event together. Though Young-joon is initially nonchalant about the prospect, he becomes increasingly jealous as he sees other men admiring Mi-so. Despite his own obvious interest in her, Young-joon is too stubborn and set in his ways to admit to himself what he already knows- that he has feelings for his secretary.

Meanwhile, Mi-so is trying to come to terms with her own emotions. Though she has always thought of Young-joon as a boss and nothing more, she can't deny the way her heart beats a little faster when she's near him. However, Mi-so is reluctant to let herself get too invested in Young-joon, knowing that he has never shown much interest in romance before.

As the night wears on, Young-joon and Mi-so find themselves drawn closer together, sharing intimate moments that leave both of them feeling more confused than ever. Young-joon's jealousy continues to rage, while Mi-so's resolve to keep things professional begins to falter.

Throughout the episode, viewers see both Young-joon and Mi-so grappling with the idea of romantic feelings for one another, unsure of what the other is thinking or feeling. Despite their obvious chemistry and the fact that they have a close, almost familial relationship, neither is willing to take the plunge and reveal their true emotions.

As the episode draws to a close, it becomes apparent that things are only going to get more complicated from here. Though Young-joon and Mi-so both care deeply for each other, their fears and societal expectations are holding them back from pursuing something more. In "Episode 2" of What's Wrong with Secretary Kim?, viewers are left wondering if these two will ever manage to find the courage to embrace their feelings and take a chance on love.
